I thank Danny Boyle for the absolutely genius use of this song as one of the musical cues in 127 hours. It's been a while since I listened to this song. I wanted to give Danny Boyle a big "attack hug" for reminding me of this joyful track and using it in, I think, the best possible way (it's right up there with Cameron Crowe's use of Tiny Dancer in Almost Famous. Ahhhh....).

The second Bill Withers came on and sang the first line (with his golden, smooth vocals), I felt like the way I feel when I see a someone I have a high school-type crush on.

That moment was perfect. I could live in that moment. Especially because it came on at the right time in the movie --- when things were already getting intense. The irony of the scene and the music was a wonderful surprise.

Go watch the movie. James Franco just keeps getting better and better with every film.
