Had such a rich conversation with a student today. Goodness. Did not feel like a lesson at all. It felt like a real conversation between two people on equal footing. None of that teacher-student dynamic. Well, some of it. Had to do my job after all.

Whatever happened to dynamic, succulent, mind and soul-fattening conversations? They have come to be few and far between around these parts. Sheesh.

I live for CONVERSATION. When the going gets great, a wonderful conversation can be better than intercourse... or perhaps the best kind of aphrodisiac if you ask me. This is why I have thus far stayed away form Twitter, Facebook, etc. Chat, okay... But thing is, it's not really a conversation if it's not instantaneous.

A conversation is a dance. There's a beat to it. The more syncopated, the better.

A good conversation is one that can make you feel vulnerable and safe at the same time. I think the only things quite similar to it is making or experiencing music. A good conversation is plagued with more questions than it is with answers. Not a lot of people get this. Most people think a conversation ought to be a pissing contest --- a test to see who knows more, who can say things better. Too much vomit.
