I just very recently saw
The Fabulous Baker Boys and fell absolutely in love with Dave Grusin's composition
Jack's Theme. Apparently, the busy studio version made it to the released soundtrack --- which is too bad considering how incredibly visceral, sensual and melancholic the piano solo rendition is. That version, does not even exist in cyberspace, I don't think.
I WOULD KILL to get a copy of that... the original one, with Dave Grusin playing (he "dubbed" Jeff Bridges' playing in that movie). UGHHHHHHHHH... It's so painfully great a track not to have possession of.
